Mobile Ordering at Walt Disney World: Order Them Noms!

Who doesn’t love the convenience that technology has provided us? Since 2017, Disney has provided us with the option to order food ahead of time at certain Quick Service establishments.

This provides us with a number of benefits:
  • Less time waiting in line. Honestly, who wants to wait in line to order food in a crowded and sweaty restaurant? Especially in a park that gets thousands of visitors a day?
  • Ability to streamline your itinerary. Let’s face it: time is money when you go to a Disney park. It’s not like you came there for a couple bucks - you’re paying good money to visit the parks. You want to get the most out of your trip that you can, and what better way to do so than to streamline as much as humanly possible?
  • Finding a place to sit is easier. With how crowded the restaurants get, scanning out a place to sit and notifying the staff to prepare your order rather than trying to carry your tray and find a table takes away some of the stress of finding a seat.
  • For those of you Dole Whip junkies, waiting for your Dole Whip to be made at the Mobile Order counter is definitely going to beat waiting in a line halfway to Cuba just for some sweet pineapple-y goodness.

Other than the cost of the food, it’s free! Might as well take advantage.

So, how do I do mobile ordering?

Go to your MyDisneyExperience app and click on your avatar. Click on Order Food.

Click on the establishment you want to order from and click on Order Food again. Note that you will need to pick up your food that day. The app will tell you when you can pick up your food.

Once you’ve selected your items, you can view your order. You can modify it at this point. Once you’re ready, click Purchase. Note that a payment method will need to be linked up to your account to use mobile ordering. Once you’ve shown up to the establishment, simply tap I’m Here and they will make your order. You will be notified through the app when it’s ready and where to pick it up.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

You'll look like this when you get that Dole Whip ahead of the 97 other people waiting in line.
